Directive re: Liquidized Diet for Patients

Attention to All Nurses working at Mt. Carmel Hospital

We would like to inform you that MUMN is issuing instructions with immediate effect to its members that any patients who are on liquidized diet should only be provided liquidized food, irrelevant from any other instructions issued by the kitchen managers.

Such instructions have been issued for the reason that the liquidized machine at MCH was not repaired nor changed even though such machine was not functioning for quite some time.

The instructions to give these patients meat balls, issued from the kitchen managers is not acceptable. There is a higher liability with court sentences due to choking and nurses are not to take the risks due to this gross mismanagement.

Unless liquidized food is provided, no other food will be given to such patients.
