Directives to Nurses working in MCH - Re Admission of Drug Abusers in Wards
Directives to Nurses working in MCH
MCH wards are not equipped nor capable of admitting drug addicts in large numbers. This is an issue of health and safety both to the staff and to the other patients in the ward.
Our wards have severe limitations and the management have to understand that it is useless admitting drug addicts in wards which are not dedicated for drug abusers. Also mixing drug addicts with “other” patients is not acceptable to MUMN and to the nurses working in MCH.
Therefore MUMN is extending its directive as not to allow more than two drug addict patients in any the ward throughout the whole MCH excluding only MDDU, FDDU, MPU and transient ward.
